Happy New Year... Yeah I know, I'm about three months and 6 days late! But hey! Like the saying goes, better late than never! My look today is a mix of some old and newly acquired pieces to my wardrobe. As many of you know, I don't have one designated style. My style is dependent on my mood and whatever is at arms reach the moment I am getting dressed!
Lately, the weather has been unpredictable in New York. Some days, it's very cold. Other days, it feels like spring has sprung. This day was one of the nicer days in New York. This trench coat that I am wearing, I got about two to three years ago. It was a part of the Target x Altuzarra collaboration. Even though it's not the newest, I still get compliments up to this day and it's one of my go to trenches.
Even though my trench is not a recent purchase, I did recently purchase this Micheal Kors sweater for $20.99 (the retail price was $88.00) and matched it with my Prada sunglasses that I scored for $38.00, when the retail price was more than $300 dollars! This was one of my amazing summer find! Like really, whenever do you score Prada sunglasses for less than $40 bucks?!
Honestly speaking, I know people who go crazy about getting dressed everyday. My theory is this... practice envisioning your outfits in advance. That's it! Think about what you already own and make mental connections. Now... now... you're probably saying that sounds silly. However, it works for me. Some days,I wake up and BANG! I already know what I'm wearing. I literally put less than 5 minutes into thinking about what I'm wearing for the day!
Getting dressed every day, shouldn't feel like work! However, let's redirect your attention...of course... to my amazing heels!
Let's talk about these GORGEOUS Schutz heels! I found these shoes at a sample sale in New York that my boyfriend recommended I attend. It was a $25 bag sale. When I heard that, I was like you got to be sugar, honey, ice tea-ing me! Basically, what this meant is that you fill a bag with as many items as you can and you get the entire bag for $25 dollars. The only catch was that you were only allowed to put two pairs of shoes in each bag. So honestly speaking, based on everything else I had in my bag, I got these shoes for less than $10.
Thanks for reading! Can't wait until we chat again!
XOXO,
Monique
