Hi All! It is exactly one week since our presidential elections! Being an individual who believes in exercising my rights to vote, I made sure I voted last week! For those of you reading this post, I hope you understand the importance of having a voice and making that voice be heard. Whether it is the presidential elections, a local election, a town hall meeting, or a congregational meeting at church.

It is very important that you stand up for what you believe in and share your thoughts with those around you. Most times, you will find that many people share the same opinions with you. Or on the other hand, you'll find some who oppose your thoughts.

In that case, I'll say this. Everyone has a right to their opinion. Support and lean on those who share and understand your point of views and experiences. For those who opposes it, don't disrespect and undermine them. Instead, show compassion and welcome a civil debate, sharing your thoughts and allow them to share theirs. This approach creates an environment of respect,  so that you can respectfully have a conversation to better understand of each others point of view.  Standing up can be hard when you feel you're standing alone. However, only one person is needed to motivate those around them!
