Yayyyyy! Instagram is Getting Better and Better!

Instagram has been upgrading their features and I have to say it is DAMN GOOD! One major pain in most of its users rear ends, was the fact that all images had to be square. Now, Instagram may being living a square life but we sure aren't! Earlier this week, Instagram added the landscape feature allowing instagramers to display their photos in its entirely.

Before the landscape feature, when I wanted share a photo from my blog's photoshoot. I couldn't get the entire picture to fit in the square picture format. Below is an example of my photos being cut off. If I wanted to show the outfit, I would have to make the sacrifice of cutting off my legs and leaving out my shoes.

If I wanted to show the shoes that I was wearing with this outfit, I would have to cut off my upper body.

Now with the landscape feature, I do not have to worry about cutting anything off in my photos anymore!

Today, Instagram added its newest feature which is the "SEND TO" button. Goodbye to "@" ing people in the comments whenever you want to share a photo! Just click the arrow to share!

After clicking the arrow button, scroll through your Instagram list and select a individual to send the picture to.

If you don't feel like scrolling, click the magnify glass and type in the username of the person you would like to send this picture to.

I am very happy with this upgrade. Posting to Instagram for me and hopefully you have just gotten better!

Thanks for reading,

Xoxo,

Monique

Hey NYC! Ditch the annoying turnstyle Beeps for a Subway Symphony!

James Murphy has a really great idea that would  change your New York City subway experience forever! Everyday our metrocard swipes are answered with boisterous turnstyle beeps, letting us know that we have permission to pass through it.  Murphy want to put an end to the cacophony of turnstyle beeps and trade it for welcoming musical notes. To make this possible, Heineken, one of the largest beer brewers in the world has partnered up with Murphy to make his vision a reality. So, whether you are rushing to work or waiting for a late night train  hearing the sounds of turnstyle music would be much better than that obnoxious beeeeeeeep of that turnstyle! Start your day on the right note!

Check out Heineken and Murphy's Subway Symphony!

Monique
