I have been celebrating Easter for as long as I can remember. As a child, my parents would take me to church and I would learn about the meaning of Easter and why it was so important. Even though I went to church and I knew the meaning of Easter, as a young child, I found the Easter Bunny and all the festivities of an easter egg  hunt, easter basket, and chocolate to be the main reason why I loved the holiday of Easter. Ha! I loved Easter for all the wrong reasons as a child.

But now as an adult, I have more appreciation for the holiday season and I have made it my duty to understand the events that lead up to this day. I also love the fact that new and familiar faces came together to worship and rejoice, and that the sunday school children recited poems and conducted a presentation to contribute to the importance of this day.

However, days leading up to Easter, many people asked me what I would be wearing. I had no clue.  Yet, I knew this was definitely a day to look my best. Even though the saying goes "surrender your hearts not your garments." Most church goers made sure they wore their sunday best. I didn't know what to wear and I was not in the mood to buy something new. I was just going to wear something I already had. When Sunday morning came, I actually pulled my outfit together about 15 minutes before going to church. I decided to wear orange with gold accents.

Even though I pulled my outfit together 15 minutes before church started, It worked out fine! I felt good, looked good, and was a part of a wonderful church service. Later that day, I spent time with my family and friends and watched my favorite Easter show " The Ten Commandments" (My favorite part is when Moses parted the Red Sea. Why? I have the slightest clue why. But I just do!) Even though this show is lord know how old... its great!

I  hope you all had a wonderful Easter Sunday! Also I hope you've been having a great week!

Xoxo,

Monique
