Ah Caramba! Mac and The Simpsons Collaborated?!

Ah Caramba! We all grew up watching "The Simpsons". The Simpsons has been around from the beginning of time or as far as I could remember! As a child, my sister, brother, and I would rush to the television every night to watch "The Simpson" during dinner. I watched the show because I loved the characters and the fact that Bart was a riot in school and a riot in life. There were commonalities in the lives of Bart and I. Bart did not do well in school. I did not do well in math. Also looking back on some of my report cards, I could of used help in other areas too. Bart had a sister who was really smart. I had my sister who was smart and made me feel not that bright on more than one occasions. Bart was a screw up. I always found myself in trouble being a screw up. Whether it was me trying to explain to mom why I thought putting hand soap in combination with toothpaste was a good idea when brushing your teeth. Hey, I was a child and Bart was a representation of a typical child. Watching "The Simpsons" was funny, refreshing, and gave me something to look forward to every night.

As a celebration of "The Simpsons" 25th anniversary, Mac has given all of us who grew up watching "The Simpsons" an opportunity to re-live the joys of The Simpsons through makeup. This is a collaboration that I am extremely excited about. It's available online today and launches in stores on September 4th, 2014.  Let's look at the pieces from this excellent collection!

I love these eye shadow colors and their crazy names that captures the essence of The Simpsons culture! In the eye palette "That Trillon Dollar Look Quad" you have the colors Lisa's Spikes, Apple Squishee, 2 Dozen and One Greyhounds, and Chalkboard Dreams. In the eye palette "Marge's Extra Ingredients Quad" you have the colors Harpooned Heart, Beehive Blue, Sexy PB & J, and Vivacious Vacuum Cleaner Bag. Really?!.....Vivacious Vacuum Cleaner Bag? Mac, I love that you're having fun naming the shades in these palettes.

As far as the Mac Lip glosses for The Simpsons Collection, there are four to choose from. I would try Nacho Explosion for trying sake. However, I feel that I could utilize the Grand Pumpkin, Red Blazer, and Itchy & Scratchy & Sexy more often with my day to day looks.

I'm surprise Mac and the collaborating Simpsons team did not create crazy blush colors. These blush colors are great and their names are adorable.

No need for me to say anything about these. Who wouldn't want Marge's eyelashes?! Obviously everyone wants them because they are sold out online. Ladies you're going to have to wait until the collection launches in stores!

I really like the idea of these nail stickers. I can't wait to try them!

I feel that Mac has done an amazing job with this collaboration to honor The Simpsons and their 25th anniversary! It is available as of August 28th, 2014 online and in stores September 4th, 2014. When I get my hands on these, I will create a follow up post reviewing my purchase.

Thanks for reading!

xoxo, man
